Re: The ground level - in and out
Hey everyone! I've finally managed to retrieve my password, so yay I'm back!
How is everyone? We're good. Still self isolating as much as possible, yay for working from home! Our little business is going well, especially since we've started making face masks, so that's a fun addition to our workshop activities. A good thing too, since pretty much all conventions have been cancelled for this year, and it looks like Halloween might not be very big either. At least we have that to keep us busy.
I really missed hanging out with you guys, so I'm definitely going to pop in more often. I especially miss taking every scrap of newly revealed Avatar related information and analyzing it to bits. Do you guys still do that? I was looking around for it, but couldn't find it.

Re: The ground level - in and out
Morning
Hey, look who popped in here :-) There's an Atokirina floating by!
Actually this place has been very, very low key in the last years, one or the other showing up, but with not much going on, most people disappeared again sooner or later.
Great to hear that your business is going well - I definitely hear you on conventions being called off. You might not know, but I've taken up LARP like five years ago and all the big and small events I've been looking forward to have been called off too.

Re: The ground level - in and out
That's too bad. I thought that with the updates about Avatar 2 (FINALLY) starting to trickle in, I wasn't the only one whose blood starts to flow a little faster, and that people would slowly start to come back. I guess it's still too early for that. But we could make a few new threads, just so that it doesn't look super abandoned here, to keep them engaged for at least a bit longer in case people do come back.
LARP sounds like a lot of fun! What kind of LARP do you do, something medieval or fantasy related? Never found the time to actually get into it myself, but it's on my list. You know, the (very long) list with stuff to do when I win the lottery and don't have to work anymore for a living.

Re: The ground level - in and out
AVATAR news: guess it's indeed too early. And we all have had enough postpones and new release dates, so at least I am a bit cautious before letting my blood pump *g*
LARP: Actually both... I have two main characters, a Celt and a human border guard in a Tolkien inspired environment; last one is an archer, letting out my inner Neytiri
Jepp, I've already "killed" my first Orc with an arrow in defense of our Elven camp
I took it up cause I was in desperate need of doing something else besides work and sitting on my PC at home for gaming and interwebz browsing - creativity and activity in fresh air all in one nice package. If things were normal I'd go again next weekend. Sigh.
@bogo: Chocolates? What chocolates? I don't have any chocolates... *whistles innocently*
Oh, and has anyone else problems deleting old messages? I can't open new ones cause my message box is full, but always get an error message

Yea, and this virus crap is setting everyone back, so who knows what's gonna happen now with Avatar 2... Hopefully they were able to make lots of progress on the digital stuff while in lock down.
We have a lot of LARPers and cosplayers as customers, so I know a lot of people have been working on new outfits in the past few months. Everyone is going to look so snazzy when it's finally allowed again to gather! Hope you were able to use your time well as well.
@bogo: You know very well that those were gone even before my first post.

Re: The ground level - in and out
Sorry I can't help you there, I haven't used the PM system in ages. Why don't you guys switch to email or something?
PS: Check the Active Topics - I posted some stuff in other parts of the board. Let's try and get a bit of fresh discussion going..
I know you've probably already gawked at the concept art pics for hours, but let's talk about them anyway. Other eyes see new things. (and make sure to reply with open ended comments to keep the discussion going as well).
I posted only 1 of each, and will post the next pics with a few weeks in between so we have time to discuss each in detail.

Good evening, ladies!
@Ato: feel free to post photobucket images. They are watermarked but I will get them and edit posts to take care of watermarks when I get a chance

Afternoon
Been away for the weekend. Hotel, pool, sun... okay, had to wear masks indoors, but that was bearable, it felt like a mini vacation and I definitely needed that.

Good afternoon!
@Ato: Use full post editor, at the bottom you have the option to add attachments. These are presented in a bit different way, so you have to experiment a bit.

Kiy, that sounds lovely! Everyone needs a bit of time to recharge after this mess. Nawm & I are going on a little trip next week to a teeny little cabin in the woods, that's dressed like a Romani caravan. I have high expectations!
@Swotu: Oh wow, that option was really well hidden! I'll go and replace the pics right away!
By the way, Nawmtirea is having the same issues logging in that prevented me from coming back sooner, can you help him out?

Re: The ground level - in and out
I have no idea how often I had to reset my PW over the years in assorted forums, websites, you name it.
I TRY to have some pattern, but usually still forget.

Re: The ground level - in and out
Bye guys, we're heading out for the rest of the week. We booked a few nights in a Romani caravan in the middle of the woods. It looks extremely magical, so I'm very much looking forward to taking this well deserved break!
