Afternoon!
Borders semi-closed, airport closed, curfew 8 pm until 5 am... How are things at your place?

More or less the same, without the curfew yet... but we're strongly encouraged to not leave the house besides for work (and work from home if possible), grocery shopping, trip to the doctor.
It's just a few days and I'm already getting cabin fever.

Well, me and my fiancée probably got corona already and are isolating us in side our home for a week or two.
When in doubt, run in tiny little circles!

Hi, everyone!
Xacoon, why do you think so? Any reason for you to suspect you got the virus? Anyway, if you both did, then good luck and take care of yourself!

Got the symptoms for it, no testing for it here in Sweden though so you can't be sure. Better stay inside to be safe!

Re: The ground level - in and out
I was thinking... if I was to travel out of the country and come back, I would have to self-quarantine myself for a minimum of 2 weeks. Since we have a house in the mountains (like a vacation home), most likely brother would bring the car to the airport full of supplies and just hand it over to me. Then I come home 2+ weeks later.

Re: The ground level - in and out
How is everyone doing? Here we currently have curfew from 5pm until 5am, Saturdays and Sundays from 3pm. There is a chance they will introduce a total curfew (24/7), but it is unclear how will people get supplies yet.
@Xac...how is your health?
@everyone, did anyone hear from Elyris?

Re: The ground level - in and out
Most of you know that I work in online IT support. For the past month or so, more and more people work remotely. Last week was particularly bad, Half of the world was adjusting to the new way of doing things, especially in the USA. A lot of complaints about slow internet, unresponsive servers, infrastructure failing... that is the new reality. Only now we are slowly getting back to normal.

Re: The ground level - in and out
Yeah, I know - we usually have an IT infrastructure in our company that's used to high workload, as a lot of people are working remote, but even we feel that things have changed; not just cause of overall internet being crappy, but also cause our internal tools have overload. For example, I'm trying to start our VPN connection currently and it's taking ages. Ugh. And phone conferences are soooooo much fun when you get kicked out again or things freeze or you can't hear anything. Oh joy!
Good morning anyway

Re: The ground level - in and out
LOL, the VPN... over the past 10 days I can't count a number of complaints received from clients. It doesn't come as a surprise when 3/4 of the world tries to work from home. My direct boss works from the office, but everybody else does it from home and we have ceased site visits until further notice.

I can imagine... currently I'm using the VPN from Asia Pacific (yay for working in an international company), those guys are already asleep.

Re: The ground level - in and out
Hmmmm, interesting point, diversifying geographically... To me it is interesting to see that in the USA, in some areas you don't feel the difference, but in some other areas already crappy internet connectivity became even far worse. One client, who previously had some acceptable connection, yesterday evening had 5 Mbps download, 0.5 Mbps upload, and was in denial, not believing that the connection will not be sufficient for a video chat with his team. But, for most people, so far, so good. Some connections drop suddenly, but that is all. I think that systems like ZOOM never before sold that many subscriptions

Morning
Thing is, it's not reliable. This morning, for example, my AP VPN didn't work at all, but I the usually crowded European tunnel worked just fine. I think it's utterly random at this point.
