Morning
What a start for the day... was already halfway to the office when I realized I had forgotten to close the bedroom window when I left. And it was wide open. So turning around, heading home again, closing window and off to the office for a second time. I should have stayed in bed this morning :-P

Better that than NOT remembering it remained open, coming home just to see angry neighbors and a flooded apartment (thunderstorms, ya know!)

Morning
Already on my way home (took a totally different train, so I would be able to avoid the weird construction issue behind Berlin) .... and another 100 bucks out of the window).
Hmm - because I am cat-trained, I never open a window fully, except for when I clean them.

Morning.
Going strawberry picking on Thursday morning. We're right in the middle of strawberry season (it's a few weeks late this year due to the weather). We went picking last Thursday and the berries were so good that we're going back again. Nothing like Ontario strawberries fresh from the field. So much better than strawberries from the supermarket. These ones are deep red all the way through and so sweet. Yum!

Morning
Window: I'm still trying to cool down my bedroom. It takes a lot to warm up my place, but the last weeks have done it and now we have a few cooler days I wanted to put to good use. Morning-ritual: waking up, opening the window to get in the fresh morning air while going through my bathroom stuff, closing the window short before leaving and shutting the blinds. I just missed that last step.
Strawberries: You're indeed a few weeks late - we already are more or less through, we have fresh cherries already.

Finally home again ! Jeez - I'm done
Hmm - we still have strawberries (if you don't have access to a piece of land for your own: Karl's Erdbeerhof Erdbeeren are the very best! Their jams are also top notch!), but you can get fresh cherries at the same time, too.
Blinds? Like those on the outside of the window? They always scared me - I find them to be very irritating.
Good thing: got tomorrow 'off' - downside: some guys will ocme around to check the heating (got a gas heating system).
Also @Nawm: If you might need real-life footage of how aged steamed human skin looks - just say the word.

@Elyris: you're a few weeks behind here too, I think; I noticed when I was on vacation there on Eastern a few years ago. Here everything was green and spring already and the farther I went to the Northeast, the less the green got. So I guess it's just a question of the region.
Blinds: yepp, outside the window. I grew up with them and so I'm used to them. And they DO keep the heat out, to a certain degree.
Aged steamed human skin?

Morning
You know - those old, wooden Fensterläden I could get used to, but those plastic ones? They scare me.
Well .... I got a bit distracted the other day and tried to grab something over the kettle, not realising the water was already well at boiling point. Now I got a nearly perfect circle of stemaed flesh on my wrist. I can tell you it hurt like hell the whole evening that day, much worse than any burn wound I ever had before. It's already healing up well enough, but now the spot looks like shriveled leather. It's actually rather fascinating, especially considering that - also in contrast to every other burn wound I ever had before - it wasn't dark at all to begin with, but lookedfresh and pinkish. It's really odd. Also gave me the conclusion that steaming someone to death must be even more painful than burning someone (always makes me think back to the bone hunter).

Mine are some Aluminium-stuff or something. Not as heavy as the wooden ones.
Burn wound: Ouch. That hurts just reading :-/
