'Morning!

Well, Avengers: Endgame has officially dethroned Titanic as the 2nd highest grossing film of all time, and is quickly closing in on Avatar's #1 title. Almost 10 years in the #1 spot for Avatar isn't bad, especially for a film that had no previous fan base or franchise. Enjoy it while you can Endgame, Avatar 2 is just 19 months away.

Avengers: still haven't seen it... my rear's slowly getting better, but now I somehow caught a cold on top. Sigh. This year sucks so far, healthwise.

'Morning.

Damn it! I shouldn't have opened my big mouth about Avatar 2 being 19 months away. Disney just pushed it's release date back one more year to Dec.17, 2021!

Here's the new release schedule:

Dec. 2021 - Avatar 2
Dec. 2022 - Unnamed Star Wars movie
Dec. 2023 - Avatar 3
Dec.2024 - Unnamed Star Wars movie
Dec. 2025 - Avatar 4
Dec. 2026 - Unnamed Star Wars movie
Dec. 2027 - Avatar 5

We're all going to be really old by the time the Avatar series is complete.

Yeah, if they go on that way I'll need a walker to hit the theater... :gotcha:

Morning anyway :)

Hey, one more thing... it is absolutely not guaranteed it will be December 2021, until we see the opening scene in the cinema. Until then, it can as well be 2022, 2032, or 2092.

On the other hand, my son (09.2008), or maybe even daughter (07.2011) will be allowed to watch it with me in the cinema by the time they actually release it :)

Good morning.

Yay, it's Friday! I always feel good on Fridays. Although it's not like the work week is really over and we get to sit around doing nothing all weekend. Our FX business keeps us busy 7 days a week now.
Got a big makeup test and photo shoot on Saturday. Turning a 17 year old actor into a teen with a disease similar to Progeria, the accelerated aging disease. Been working on the sculpt and 6-piece prosthetics for a few weeks now. Applying the makeup on Saturday for test footage and a photo shoot for "family photos" to be used to decorate the house in the film. Shooting the main film (with 2 more full sets of prosthetics) next weekend.

Well, all the people I know who have their own business are always busy - ya know how they say in German: Selbständig = selbst und ständig

'Morning.

Well the makeup test and photo shoot on Saturday went perfectly. It took over 3 hours to apply the 6 piece prosthetics makeup, but it looked awesome (sorry, we're not allowed to post pictures of the finished makeup yet). Now we just have to run 2 more copies of it for the actual shoot days 2 weeks from now. We decided to take a day off yesterday to rest and recuperate, and we ended up sleeping until 13:00. I guess we needed some rest.

But now it's Monday, so back to work (after we clean up the mess that the workshop is in after Saturday's makeup).

Good morning :)

Sleeping till 13:00? Yeah, sounds as if someone needed it...

Me, I'm back at work for the first day since more than 4 weeks and trying to get my system back working.... El Sigh. Of course all my passwords are outdated and there's a whole ton of unread miles in my file. Oh joy!

I wish I could sleep for a bit too (13:00 is no option though - on no day in my life so far and I can't see me doing it, even if I am shortly before dropping from exhaustion - it just doesn't work).

I am already feeling annoyed and I am not up for that long today.

Not being able to sleep sucks indeed. I know it from my mom.. she's got the same problems. Dead tired and still no sleep :-/

Yeah well. One os the main problems surely is working against my own 'inner clock' all the time. On weekends I wake up around 6:30 (summer) to 7:30 (winter) am, but naturally, that's way too late for everyday work.

Okay, depending on your work. For me that would be just fine... but my inner clock tells me to sleep at least till 9:00.

I start working at 7am and work until 15:30. And I really don't want to start later as this would mean ending later which would cut my already short rest-of-the day even shorter as going to bed later is just not an option either.

You wouldn't have anything I work at at 7 pm; it would be utter nonsense and crap. I'm just not able to think straight that time of the day. So, yes, my days are shorter a bit, but I can't sleep before 11 pm anyway.

Motning

It would be nice to only have to work for 6 hours a day (my payment is already crappy enough to justify that). But nope - just work a lot and get paind little. Who needs a life! This land is bonkers.

Good Morning.

Yay! It's Friday! And a long weekend here too. It's Victoria Day weekend, where we get the Monday off to celebrate the Queen's birthday since we're still a part of the British Monarchy, or something.
