Morning :)

@Tsatu: :geek: Well , I'm ... mostly in the same situation as before (alone, lacking money in partially ridiculous amounts, very much still not on the way to have a child) - only 10 years older ( and with that being the oldest completely realized true virgin most likely anone I ever met in any way met in their whole life (I actually don't think they can't even imagine this to ba a possibility).
I'm a fricking unicorn (also fitting into the INTJ thing I've got going on).

I guess your life has been good enough? (You're nice, to stupid and just normal which usually adds up to agood enough normal life).

Aaw Kiy :( This really doesn't sound good. It should get better, not worsen. Did the doc say anything about that ?

(You see - when I started working last summer one of the colleagues - who has changed departments since - was apparently having a cold .... she was still sounding stuffed and coughing 3 weeks later and I was starting to wonder what was up. Turned out she had developed a chronic bronchitis a few years earlier - she's like 5 or years younger than me. Somewhat similar: Another colleague had catched a bad cold a few aears back which developed into a otitis media (Mittelohrentzündung) that caused so muhc damage to her inner ear that she has to wear an hearing aid on one side permanently now. She's also years younger than me. It just makes me wonder how easily small things can fack your body up rather thoroughly. ...Just - keep an eye out on yourself, that's what I wanted to say.)

I had some insane kind of fly. No severe fever or sweating, just some headache. Then I figured out why that headache. My blood pressure reached nearly 180/120. Typically it is between 120/80 and a bit higher but still ok 130/90. For the first time in my whole life I was worried... am I going to make it or not. Combined medical and natural therapy got it under control over the next few days. If you have some unexpected headache, check your blood pressure :)

Well - I always had very low blood pressure, so to get that high of a blood pressure would quite some work form my side.

How are you all this morning ?

(P.S.: I kinda love the 'insane kind of fly' up there :hoho: )

My blood pressure is now mostly fine. I did not have a coffee over the past 4 weeks, until today. A business meeting and I had to remain awake :D and I also reduced salt intake.

I think my mistake was to not give me enough time to get over it all... there always was an event I didn't wanna miss or an urgent work appointment. This time I'm gonna do it different and stay at home as long as possible.
Today the coughing got better, but I'm feeling kinda dizzy allover.

Morning anyway :)

Afternoon :)

Went to the Zoo (Rostock) - mostly Darwineum and Polarium - today .... we're really exhausted (taling about "legs getting stronger everyday" >_>), but playing Orangutan babies, sleeping polar bears from up close and seals playing with (cheeky) seagulls was kinda worth it. It also rained like crazy.

@Kiy: Good to hear you're (kind-of) better. Taking it slow is definately the way to go :)

@boss: Good to hear you#re taking cae of yourself too. :)

Don't worry - the orang utan babies were in the Tropenhaus of the Darwineum (really cool and hot/humid as hell - that is truly the moment when you realize how warm the winter jacket actually is). It was allover very nice - I can recommend it.

@Tsatu: Hamm, yeah. Things I learned are 1. it can always get worse and 2. life usually means somehow holding up - it's really something you have to push through and only when it's over thing will actually get better. It's good to hear you're still trying though.

As my old doctor used to say: If you get cold and treat it, it will last for at least 7 days. If you don't treat it, it will last at least a week. The treatment only makes a difference in how sick you feel.

Fresh ginger, garlic and tumeric, dice it and crush and brew a tea out of it. Taste like crap but you will get rid of the cold in 3-4 days.
When in doubt, run in tiny little circles!

@Elyris: Awww - crap. I hope it's a different brand than mine, cause mine here sucks. I'll definitely have to see the doc on Monday again.
I mean, every cold sucks, but this one's the especially annoying kind.

Thanks guys :)

@Xa: I'll definately try it.
@Kiy: Thanks and let me say (entirely egoistically): I hope I have a different brand too.

One of the downsides of working from home is that not every sickness qualifies you for a day off. You basically have to be incapable of sitting and focusing on work, in order to go to bed. The second issue is, most of the employers do not pay for the sick leave.
