Oh, it wasn't about the "if" but the "when". Good luck with that... although the roads will be hell today, they just said it's gonna be the day with the most traffic of the whole year.

It's not only Self insured(the empire), it's armed and armored.

Mmmhm, wouldn't exactly call that a pain in the txim - was able to do all my Saturday errands without getting soaking wet.

Well - depends from how you see it. I know that down at your corner there was a lot of rain and such, but up here it didn't rain in close to a month. Farmers and garndeners alike a not amused and it is actually straining to have such dry weather - even when it's as cold and dark-grey-cloudy like today (mind you: not raining at all, just looking like it).

Oh - I see. Somehow I thought that you had even more rain and cold than we had. Yeah, after a month of drought rain is sorely needed. And dark skies without rain kinda suck.

It's even worse. Thinking back I would say that within the last 8 months or so we had maybe 20% of the rain we 'usually' have. Especially November was crazy dry. If our everyday sweetwater supply woulddepend on reservoirs sourced from rainfall we would have some real problems by now.
It's a drama.

I'm sure a lot of people (including me) would happily sent up all the rain and thunderstorms we had tonight. For me it was just annoyingly loud (gee, I'm TIRED!!!), but farther to the Southwest they have to deal with heavy flooding, earth slides, full basements and all that stuff.

Yeah, I saw that.
Still I think it wouldn't be bad if they would at least mention in the news that there is at least one corner of the country that hasn't seen a drop of all of this rain. This is the third dry spring in a row and just like the years before some farmers already had to put up a second sowing as the first one withered before it even really started to grow.
Climate really is changeing a lot in the last years and still no one seems to bother or think about hwo to do things differently to adapt to that.
This crabb is really annoying.

Annoyance of the day: Someone has used the metal basket on the carrier of my bicycle as a garbage dumpster
again.

One, not necessarily big, thanator tied to your bicycle would solve that problem. :>

Mmmhm - are Thanators housebroken? I wouldn't wanna clean up after them.
Hellfire wasps, on the other hand...

Or a proper dog... just to make someone thing twice before dropping garbage to where it doesn't belong.

stubenrein (=roomclean) is housebroken (hausgebrochen? ?

That sounds somewhat brutal.
But yeah ... we are only 6 parties in this house all in all and someone at leas is doin this since the beginning of when we all moven in.
It's annoying.
Another annoying thing: When you have otorganize papers from your eployer for the Agency of Woork and the eployer does it all right and send stuff to the Agency and then you get a bitter letter telling you it didn't arrive. You phonecall and only get general answers and -- of course - it's all you're fault, because heaven forbid it would be theirs.
To sum it up: I had to contact my employer and do it all over again (which was embarrassing). Meh

I'd blame it to the Agency... yeah, it's annoying and embarassing, but not your fault when they can't sort their stuff out.
And yeah: "stubenrein" is "housebroken".

I did it again!
Dislocated two toes on my right foot today. I tripped and kicked a wall and all of the sudden two toes were standing right up. Had to "crack" them back in place... That was fun!
