Aww Kiy :(

I hope they'll be done soon with whatever they're doing. I had neighbours who 'renovated' like mad before, too and it was rather .... testing my patience.(And OK - in the end they were throwing their furniture out of the window, but - oh, well... )

Well, yesterday proved to full of excitement. I've been staying in a motel for the last couple months here in northeast El Paso. The only thing that seems to happen(quite constantly, too.) was the EMS units thundering up and down Dyer street. Yesterday, it got a little more intense. We had SWAT here. A 6 hour standoff. Fortunately, no explosions or shots fired. But it sure was frustrating to be denied the ability to come and go because some idiot wants to act like a bigger idiot. :offended: The 2 snipers on the roof was quite an intimidating part of the whole ordeal.

I got a few questions: Do you live in a motel now? What's EMS? Why all that ruckus?

I had something slightly similar yesterday evening: Those PEGIDA peopel were running around outside (basically walking fom the shopping mall 200 away to the end of the strett 100 form here and back), using a speaker (not that one can understand a single word) and playing loud (also not understandable) music in between). Around 50 people and lots of police. I am not amused.

I have a question.

What is the deal about all these Zombie whatchamacallits? Seriously. Seems like every channel on cable there is either a zombie movie or series. I can't wait for the future monster bash. Zombie Nation vs Underworld vs Aliens and Predators vs Michael Myers and Freddy Kruger vs The Avengers and the Fantastic 4. :hee: Now, if anyone comes up with something like that, I thought of it first.

That's exactly the kind of action I like to watch in an action movie - right on my doorstep: Not so much. Did they at least get that idiot?

If I write exactly what I think about those Pegida guys I'll probably screw every single board rule about good behaviour and language. What a bunch of [insert long rant full of foul language here]! :offended:

I'm rooting for the Avengers. They have a Hulk

Seriously - no idea about that zombie hype. Haven't watched a single one of them... don't have the stomach for that kind of movie/show.

Well, I found out today that little show of police force the other day didn't turn out in favor of the law enforcement presence.

When the SWAT team entered the room..........................
Spoiler: show
It was empty.

Spoiler: show
After feeling really dizzy since Saturday morning I went ot the doctor yesterday (wait: 70 minutes) and he sent me on to the ENT specialist immediately (wait: 60 minutes and 30 minutes). After a row of tests he tols me that it looks like I lost the functionality of the vestibular organ in my right ear.
So of course I'm written ill and also not allowed to drive. I consider it very lucky that I got that token thingy, which allows me to check up at my work pc from the outside (else I'd be severly screwed by now).

Sometimes I wonder about people. Just how dumb some of their ideas are and how far they go to promote what I think is ridiculous.

One such is:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rq_YBk8pRL4

I laugh myself to death.

Another is:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lQjBantIOcw

I throw up and fall down in to convulsions. I wouldn't be caught dead in that thing. It's absolutely stupid. But thats my opinion. If there is someone out there who thinks spending extra for an special edition whateveritis, then I think they need some help. Its one thing to get a special edition because of added features, but to promote it after a movie.....?????? Why????????? I hope someone steals it. :sparta: And the people who think up these thing. They have college educations. I dropped out of school. Did they pay for their education with common sense? :omg:

I can see your point, but since when have "common sense" brought you a lot of money? :geek:

Stupid pays good in our world.

You'd be surprised at how many people get rich that are down right stupid.

Actually I think that people doing advertising are in a weird kind rather clever... they're making insane amounts of money with the stupidity of other people. Who's more stupid? The people who wanna sell a car made after an action movie or the ones who actually spend money on a "Batman" edition with no added features at all?

Agreed on rich stupid people though.

On another more somber side. Recently, Alan Rickman passed away. Everyone remembers Mr. Rickman...? Right.

Image

Awesome actor. Able to do both comedy and serious roles with a heavy touch of psychotic in there. He will be missed.

Also, a while back we discussed the awesomeness of a couple actresses from the golden age of Hollywood. Last year, we lost one of our most beloved ladies.

Image

Maureen O'hara has been called home. May Eywa watch over her. She was a Grand Lady.

Anyone remember this person?

Image

Mickey Rooney. If you were born in the 60's, you've heard of him. The man had an acting career that was almost 90 years long. :omg: Maybe not the most influential actor, but still talented and was still going at the end. Night at the Museum, Secret of the Tomb was his last movie. He passed away before the movie made it to the Theaters. I, myself found all 3 Night at the Museum movies to be quite magical. With both Robin Williams and Mickey Rooney gone, it saddens me that there will be no more of them. :tears:

It's the 26th of April. April. Not November, not January. April. And it's fricking snowing outside. Real, big, fluffy snowflakes.

What the actual ... *is interrupted by dark, gloomy voice from the off*

"Winter is coming" ~__~

Ah shaddap >_>

I hear you! You got no idea how much I hear you!

No snow here (at least), but it's frickin cold, raining and an icy wind outside. And I'm planning a camping weekend in not quite two weeks from now... as in "hey, it's begin of May, what can happen?"
