Morning :)

Slowly (slowly) getting better here. I had no voice whatsoever for about 4,5 days (getting better - only sounding like a you barry white now), an immensely sore throat (also getting better), completely blocked sinuses (yeah - that still needs some work) and for 4 days I've been coughing like a heavy smoker (also still needs work). And for about 4 days I felt practically half-dead, not even being able to think straight.
Anyway - had to go to the doctor on Monday and he wasn't in the mood for negotiations, so I'll be at home the whole week.

It's been a while since I had such a heavy all-inclusive cold.

Making my homework:
1: Flighter: "Anyway, a question for all of you: How do you heat your residence up? I guess Kiy relies on the city heating system, but what about others? In my previous apartment, we used City heating, but this one has gas heating. Huge advantages are: (1) It is a lot cheaper and (2) I turn it when I need it and how much I need it."

-> I heat with a Gastherme. Meaning I get gas and electricity from the city. The heater is ignited with an electric spark. Also provides my hot water. I can heat as much as I like when I like (especially good during colder summer days). But it's not really that cheap.

2. Thanks for people being worried. I really got knocked out this time. I hope y'all faring well so far where you are.

3. @Nawm :

(Yes, I might just be cheap like that ... I see Sandra Oh, I feel entertained. Also: Poutine)

So, Elyris, you use the same kind of heating like me. I just love it! I set it to the temp I want, when I want it, and I don't depend on the mercy of some manager at the power plant to turn the heating on like most of people here do :)

Morning :)

Huh, that cold sounds awful, Elyris. I've been there a few times this year (the trouble with my bum ain*'t no good for my immune system at all) and it sucks.
Good that you're at home the whole week, it's just better to cure it fully than to drag yourself to work, not getting any better and maybe also infecting other people there.

'Morning.
(reviews the last few days of messages)

@ Elyis - Travel like a Canadian video :muhaha:
It's so true! Are we really the only country where you can buy milk in bags? Mmmm... poutine. Ketchup chips, yum! But they forgot Salt & Vinegar chips - double yum!

I came back from vacation with a cold similar to the one that Elyris had. A week later and I'm still coughing and sniffling.

And Happy Birthday to my Atokirina!

Morning :)

Why is it Monday again? At least it's the last one I have to work this year... from next Monday on I took them off.

@Nawm: get better too :)

Morning :)

I still have that cold (coughing like I smoked a pack of zigarettes for the last 20 years - the heck ?!? ). Will stay home until Wednesday - got my Jahresgespräch with the big boss on Friday ... yay (fml :what: ).

Aw man :( - yeah you two, get better soon ... this winter really seems to have quite the cold in the bag.

Then let's hope for each other that things will somehow improve.

A little bit tired today... spent half the night in the bathroom, but luckily it's Friday.
