Morning.

We were in Stratford, Ontario over the weekend to see a theatre production of "Little Shop of Horrors" (Stratford is known for it's summer theatre festival, and although just a small town, it has 3 or 4 large theatres). Wow, what great show! They did such an amazing job on the set and on the Audrey 2 (there were 4 versions from potted plant to 3m tall!). The largest version took 4 people to operate. We met 2 of the operators after the show and they told us about all of the tech that went into bringing Audrey 2 to life. The plant actually has tiny white tracking dots on it that the projection system sees (like with motion catpure), so that when Audrey 2 swallows an actor, the projection system maps graphics onto the plant so it looks like you can see the person's hands and feet pushing out from inside the plant. :omgg:

Amazing show! Still have the songs in my head. :hee:

'Morning.

Yep, looks like summer is finally here (it got a slow start in Canada this year). But I'd much rather have 39C weather than snowstorms. It's a lot cheaper to cool the house than to keep it warm.

Slow start of summer does not imply a slow start of winter :(

Winter usually comes right on time, or a few weeks early even :D

Phew... I*m "well done" here. Another 39°C day yesterday and of course I was out camping, with my tent standing on an open meadow. It was a fun weekend, but I definitely could have done with a little less heat.

Home after the first day of work after two weeks off. Originally I wanted to go to London with my mom for 3 days or so, but it didn't owrk (and she obviously didn't wanted to), then I thought we could at least go to Berlin for a day, but weather heated up significantly (nothing you want in a big city and again she seemed rahter happy about that). We made two smaller trips (one to Darß, one to Usedom), but unfortunately it was on the days that turned out cold and windy, so didn't even got to take a swim in the sea.
Work was awful today - a lot of stuff had to be done (most of which I was told was 'ready' and the colleagues had to work like mad to make it all fit - and of course it's my fault as I didn't communicated clearly enough (again: for at least 75% of that stuff I had been told there would be nothing to do fro mour department). I dislike this job more and more with each passing week - and they don't even pay well. And the nnext week it's off to Frankfurt for a seminar. I have to take the train on Sunday or I won't be able to make it there on Monday morning - meaning a full day of strenuous nothingness that I neither get paid nor it counted as work hours (not even to mention over hours or something - oh no sir).

Why does life suck so much? I don't know how fun or freedom or just not being very sad and angry at the same time feels like. It's annoying.
