Yeah, the weekends are way too short. Didn't get nearly as much done as I was hoping to.

This way we're all gonna work ourselves to death. This is not sustainable.

'Morning.
I just realized that this is a short week because of the Easter weekend. Friday is a holiday!
So, that means we're halfway through the work week already!

Greentuesday? I don't think I've ever heard of that term.
Happy Thursday! (Last workday of this week!)
We're going to do an escape room this Saturday with 6 friends. It's the largest in the area. This one is a total of 5000 square feet (464 square meters) consisting of 6 "buildings" set up as an old village. You need to get to safe areas before the "witching hour" bell tolls or a cursed villager tries to catch you. Should be fun.

Morning - it's Friday.
Gründonnerstag (grennthursday) is the Thursday before easter (Karfreitag) . Hmm - I don't know if I would have enough spine for that. Give me puzzles but not stress. Also: like everything else I don't think there's something like that around here.

I haven't forgotten on you guys here... but it still hurts a lot to just sit and I hate writing from my phone or my tablet, so I'm not really online these days.

Morning
Do you have a desktop-PC then?
(I know why I always opted for a laptop whenever I needed a new PC - much more flexible)
Anyway .... get well soon, Kiy. It must also be very boring.

I have a desktop and a laptop, but that still doesn't help when you can't sit for more than ten minutes... I keep those times for eating.
And nope, I can't type on my laptop while lying on my couch. I need to sit upright at a desk...
Yupp, it's awfully boring.... at least now I found a way to at least lie on a garden couch outside the last two days, so at least I'm not stuck in my living room anymore. Grateful for the little things...

Morning - season greetings, happy Ostara and so on.
Oh boy - you would have to sedate me most of the tiem then. I despise lying down when I am not about to try to sleep. I just can't with that. Not even a whole libary would help as reading while lying down is also not an option.
You have my feelings - this is awful.

'Morning!
@Kiy: If you have to spend a lot of time laying on your couch, I can think of a certain movie that can be watched over and over again.
The escape room was fun, and the puzzles were really challenging. We were not sucessful in "lifting the curse of the village" in 60 minuites. You had to explore 6 "buildings" and solve a number of puzzles in order to unlock 5 different boxes to retrieve a gem from each box. But you kept getting interrupted every 7 minutes or so when the bells would toll and you had to run back to the church for safety or be caught by the infected villager and sent to jail (which you then had to figure out how to escape from), which made it very difficult to keep your concentration and remember how far along you were with solving the puzzle you were working on. There were 6 of us, and we solved enough puzzles to unlock 4 of the 5 gem boxes (there's 4 puzzles that have to be solved for each box. Each solved puzzle gives you one number of the 4 digit combination lock for each gem box). We ran out of time in the Alchemist's lab, the most difficult room. Five more minutes and we would have had the lock opened for the last gem. The "village" was really well done. It is built inside a warehouse, in darkness, lit only with the small mining lamps that they give you, so not only are you exploring 6 buildings in the village, looking for clues, deciphering runes and codes, but you're doing it in the dark!
And the church was built to look like an actual old crumbling church, complete with a secret room that you had to slide the church altar aside to find. It was a lot of fun, but we were all mentally exhausted when we were done. Ato and I took a nap right after we got home. They have 2 other escape adventures, one vampire themed and one zombie themed that are supposed to be easier (we had the hardest one).

Morning
One the one hand it sounds like fun (I love puzzles) onthe other hand one could very easily wet himself or get a hear tattack or something ...this setup certainly isn't for the faint of heart. Also: 60 minutes are a bit tight for that amount of wokr in my opnion (whichi makes it only more stressful).
Dangit - now I want to do something entertaining with my brain.

That escape room only has a 44% success rate. So having almost beat it is pretty good. Ato is so smart and so good at figuring out the puzzles. And it's not as scary as it sounds. You're so focused on solving the puzzles that you don't even think about the dark, and I feel right at home in creepy dark environments.

Re: The ground level - in and out
Evening
I'd go nuts in a room like that. Dark and closed off... hello panic attack, here I am o_O
I've been in Hamburg with a few people a while ago and they wanted to go in there. I wished them fun, took a book and hit the next cafe. No way anyone will ever get me into an escape room *shudders*
Reading: Well, I'm lucky, I don't have problems with reading while lying, although by now my muscles are getting a bit sore from it all - and by now I'm also too restless to do more of that or even watch a movie.
At least I'm slowly getting better. Still off-grid till May 3rd, but it's healing. Slowly, but it's healing!

Morning
Oh boy ... I'd already prepared a klling spree or something for when I get better. It would drive me nuts only to be able to lie down. There is literally nothing you can do except sleeping.
I guess my biggest problem in an escape room (by daylight, please) would be the other players. In my experience people simply ignore what I am saying or suggesting and often do stupid things. It's one thing being closed in - being closed in with a bunch of (most likely) normal people ... that's nightmare fuel.

Morning.
Well we weren't doing the escape room with strangers (that would have been different), they were friends. And with a "village" of 6 buildings to explore, it didn't feel closed in at all. But I don't get claustrophobic or freaked out in dark places anyway. I try not to have any "irrational" fears. If you know that you are in a perfectly safe environment, what is there to be freaked out about? That's why haunted house attractions never scare me. You can't touch the actors and they can't touch you, so you know you're perfectly safe. The best time I ever had at a haunted house attraction was when one of the actor's misjudged his distance from me in the strobe lights and actually hit me fairly hard on the shoulder with a prop weapon. He came out after and apologized profusely for actually hitting me, and I said "Don't apologize, that was awesome! For a second when it happened I was wondering if maybe some psycho killer had snuck into the attraction and was pretending to work there". It's the first time I had the feeling of "wait, that's not supposed to happen". But I guess I am a bit of a thrill seeker. After jumping out of an airplane on my 30th birthday with a WWII parachute, regular thrills aren't a big deal.

Hm ... I guess I'm jsut allergic to adrenaline (really though: sudden riseses in stress levels make me feel physically sick and very exhausted and annoyed afterwards). And I don't have friends so my off-time activities are ... sparse, to put it diplomatically.
Fear of dark, unknown places is not irrational at all - your instincts are telling you to be cautious and that's not weird or weak at all.

Evening
Well, I think I can avoid the killing spree... by now I'm able to do a few things more. Sitting for short amounts of time, walking around and so on. So by now I'm slowly doing a few chores I usually don't have the time for. Like getting rid of the "durable" groceries that have been in my Con car since last summer.... Or tomorrow I'm gonna finally plant some flowers on my balcony. All the stuff that doesn't include sitting on hard surfaces for longer amounts of time.
