Burn, baby burn, Sweden's on fire!
Yupp, just popped up a big fire right outside of my town just now. Thick smoke all over town atm

Afternoon
Huh, hope you're alright, Xa!
Over here it's like in a greenhouse right now. Still hot, but heavy rain in between. Everything's sticky. Ugh.

In my neighborhood, Greece, it is quite tough right now
And after wildfires killing well over 80 people, floods are expected.

Re: The ground level - in and out
Here there is still drought. They had a smaller wlidfire in a wood in Brandenburg (south of here). It was brought under control but again war knocked on the door - there#s still plenty of not exploded bobs and ammunition in the ground and the fire made that stuff blow up. (Remember: in 9,9 out of 10 times war is a really stupid idea).
And with this visable to come for years now we are still so dramatically unprepared.
I had a holiday-day today (swimming, ice cream, dinner at the steak house https://www.steakhouse-greifswald.de/).

Re: The ground level - in and out
Morning
Sounds like a nice day. I've spent all day yesterday doing errands... nothing like running through a DIY market with outside 35°C and inside a felt humidity of 200%
But there was a shower and italian food in the evening. AND I got myself a nice new bow after my last one broke a few weeks ago.
That ammunition in the woods: Uh, didn't think of that, but yeah... of course that happens. Dangerous stuff there and shows how much of a bad idea war is. After all it's like more than 70 years since the war ended and there STILL is that stuff in the ground.

Re: The ground level - in and out
Morning
I had that on Thursday - and it was rather unpleasant. Doing errands (esp. in the city) in such hot weather is truly a bad idea.
There's actually a bow shop in Anklam, but it's smoewhat hard to find and I've been there only once (without being able to properly look through their stuff of course, as my grandpa was with us and ... yeah).
I remember going on a field trip during university down there and we were told to really stay on they way through the woods as there were mines and stuff everywhere and it would be dangerous for us. It's a bit like that up here too - hidden ammo everywhere. The people dealing with that stuff got their hands full enough.

Evening
Thing is, those errands don't run themselves... and heat or not, I still needed the stuff I bought there :-/
Thanks Eyaw for the invention of the shower!
Bow shop: Well, I went there alone, took my time to watch around and of course they had really competent sales people there. They ordered one for me two weeks ago and if I wouldn't have liked it, I wouldn't have had to buy it. And yeah, you get the chance to try it out there.
Mines and stuff: We're lucky here, no such dangerous areas.

Re: The ground level - in and out
Monday
Yay - three hours of bad sleep.
I know but that doesn't make it better. In my opinion there should be a Hitzefrei-option for adults too - everyone who isn't working in an actually vital part of the 'mentainance and care' system (and most are not) should only work hlaf-time without effect on salary. Let's be honest: people are tired and unnerved all the time, now they are also on the brink of physical damage due to quite unusual weather. No living being in it's right mind would simply go on as if there was nothing, only man (jeebus civilization is stupid as heck).
Eh - as usual I wasn't sure if they wanted me to leave and simply buy nothing .... I seem to be a bother for most people.

Re: The ground level - in and out
Afternoon
I'd like some "hitzefrei" option here - on the other hand, my office has AC, my flat doesn't... plus, there are still the crafters outside my house, drilling holes in the wall to fix that stupid isolation. So actually my office is cooler and quieter than home, so that's a bit plus.
Bow shop: mmmmhm, usually you need to do a lot of stupid stuff to have people not wanting to sell you anything.

Did I mention the humidity ?
It's also quite humid (77% and up).
Do you think the Hometree had a cooling sytem? ya know - a tall, hollow structure with enough openings that are small enough at the same time. Should create a 'chimney' effect of a contant airflow upwards. And there's plenty of shadow inside and around .... natural ari condition baby

Sounds neat - just depends on how heat sensitive the Na'vi are. They're wearing loincloths in a tropical rain forest, I can imagine they'd call our current weather a nice, dry and refreshing day

Morning
Sure, but still that doesn't mean that some refreshment isn't a good thing. Also: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nilotic_peoples
Are there 'snowy mountains' ? I still really want that 'world map'/globus of Pandora.

Agreed to wanting that world map there!
And also agreed to wanting some refreshments... it's already too warm again.
