I'm where I always am.

@boss: May things run smooth for you.

@Kyi: Is it mountainous around where you are? Was the weather nice?

Well - it's October.

Well - if you call the Taunus "Mountains" then yes ;)
Weather was cooperating, yepp. It was actually pretty warm until - lets say - 5 pm and by then we were already back in that hut we had rented for bbq and the rest of the evening.

Hoping for a quiet Monday here. Tomorrow's a holiday and roughly estimated 80% of the people have today off.

Sounds like quite the jetset life there. An yes - the Taunus are mountains :geek: .... considering: https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liste_von ... Vorpommern. Everything above 50m is a mountain when you come from here.

So, our 3rd morning in a new city. 4th floor, no elevator, so we have to plan well (for what to bring from the car or supermarket). Secondly, only the neighboring street has free parking. Everywhere else, you pay approx. 0.4 EUR per hour, 7AM till 9pm, mon-fri, and 08am to 2pm Saturday. That neighboring street, having free parking, is always packed with cars... Ah, on top of that, the first evening I was working from my coleague's apartment (since then i did not have the internet at home yet). Wife and kids went out to get a pizza. Some teenagers, gathered in front of the nearby school, spoted an African (my wife) and one of the assholes spitted on the ground, angrily. WTF?!?!?! So if I was there, they probably would not do it. But, if they did, or did something worse, what should I do? beat the crap out of the offender and have the trouble with the police, or pretend everything is fine? And if I act on it, would they be safe afterwards? Hmm, since then no troubles but still, I am quite angry about it. On, on the brighter side, our neighbors across the street are... well, major government building in this part of Serbia :) So there will be no major disturbance, the palce is always full of police and other agencies.

Huh, seems your new place has its ups and downs. You'll get used to the parking situation, but those idiot teenagers are a bit more annoying. My first idea too would be to kick their rears, but in the long run that won't help. Maybe a good, solid scolding about what the heck they're thinking or if they're thinking at all?

Morning

From my experience I an say that stupid people don't get that they're stupid (which is most likely why they're stupid to begin with). Sadly you can't 'school' them. They either get propelled in a situation where they are so exposed to what they think is a 'bad' situation (aka people hanging around them of whom they think they shouldn't be there at all) as much as possible .... giving a small chance for them to re-evaluate their views - most don't really get it either way though - or you try your best with the next generation and hope they won't live long or get in positions where they can cause wider damage. Humans are sadly pretty stupid for the most places.

(And believem e - they are. Years ago, when I was riding my bycilce during wintertime - wearing hat and scarf, you know - two maybe 12 or 13 year old boys ... years younger than me ... snapped at me for being turkish "Ey du Türkin!" when I rode by ... and I .... just started to laugh really loud for wuite a while, as for all the nasty words said and mean things did to me up unti lthat moment in my life this was the most unfitting ,uncreaitve - if that is even a possibility to begin with - and thus funny I faced. They got really cinfused when I started laughing, which made me laugh even more.)

Aaaaanyway .... Sofa-time
