Ahh, sleep, what is that?
When in doubt, run in tiny little circles!

Re: The ground level - in and out
'Morning!
Something incredible happened in Canada yesterday.
A big oil company in Alberta (one of our western provinces) named TECH wanted to spend $20 Billion on a new oil sands strip mine that would have destroyed 292 square KM of pristine wetlands and forest, affected bison and caribou migration, and pumped 40 million tonnes of CO2 into the atmosphere every year for the next 40 years. The government was supposed to decide by the end of the week whether or not to approve the project, and of course governments usually side with the big corporations. But environmental protests and public outcry against a current gas pipeline project (that the government approved) has been so extreme that TECH's stock was actually dropping as the approval date for their plan was approaching, and they WITHDREW their proposal and scrapped their plans to avoid the public outcry (even though the government probably would have approved it). The public's outrage at climate change was victorious against the giant oil industry!! I never thought I would see an oil company back off due to environmental protests! I had a bounce in my step and a new glimmer of hope for the environment today.
